About Me

I’m David, a Year 2 teacher and primary science geek!

As well as being the Year 2 teacher in a one-form entry primary school in Westminster, I am also privileged to be the school’s Science Subject Leader.

Primary science truly is my passion, I am a member of the Association of Science Education and have attended the past 3 conferences (they are something of a highlight of my school year!). In the past, I have researched the impact of iPads in primary science. I am currently interested in the use of emotions in primary science. How can we truly hook children for more than a week or term into a fascinating subject.

Science is about asking questions – yet this appears to be something that children loose as they progress through their education career. How can we foster and maintain this curiousity though children’s emotive engagement?

Finally, I am a committee member for the South East region of the National Association for Primary Education (NAPE).
